Marion County Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody or a release, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve official booking records. Use the responsible public office directly for those services and for any time-sensitive question.
Official Marion County Contacts
Start with the office that keeps the record or provides the service. The Sheriff is the official route for Marion County Sheriff records and the public custody portal. MCCC handles jail operations. A court holds case scheduling and outcomes, while ODRC has the distinct statewide search for people in state prison custody.

- For a person currently in Marion County custody, use the official Sheriff-linked inmate portal. It is a current-custody tool and not a complete historical arrest archive.
- For an existing Sheriff booking record or booking photograph, use the Sheriff records instructions or NextRequest portal and identify the person, approximate booking date, and requested record.
- For jail operations, bond-payment information, or general inmate information, contact MCCC at its main line. Court dates remain a court question.
- For a Marion Municipal Court matter, call the court directly before traveling, especially when Friday service hours matter.
- For a person sentenced to Ohio state prison custody, use the official ODRC offender search, not the county inmate portal.
- For a public-records question, Ohio Revised Code section 149.43 is the governing public-records statute, subject to exemptions and redaction rules.
